Miami Seaquarium announces a new Reef Ranger Leadership course for teenager’s ages 13-18 years old who are interested in marine conservation and how they can become active environmental members in their community. If you know a high school student interested in environmental stewardship, community service hours and a great resume builder, then this month-long course is for them. There will be a total of eight course meetings throughout the month. The program takes place at Miami Seaquarium beginning at 6 p.m. By the end of this course, the teenagers gain the following experiences: Leadership in their community, educating peers on local conservation issues. Awareness on local endangered species and the conservation efforts in place to protect them. Understanding the importance of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – and different ways to live sustainably, and how this connects to our environment. Knowledge in the marine conservation field to put on their resume.
