Diveheart, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities experience the benefits of scuba therapy, will be having its second annual Music & Art Festival.
WHY: At this fundraising event, the public can hear and meet local musicians, artists, photographers, businesses and other supporters to raise money for Diveheart. There will be an art silent auction, raffle and entertainment by Patrick Arnold, Fish Circuit and The Weedline. Afterward, there will be a post jam session.
Event sponsors are Tijuana Flats Tex-Mex, By The Sea Reality, Gold Coast Scuba, Barbara Falowski Funeral & Cremation Services, Hilton at Resorts World Bimini, e-Builder and Centennial Bank.
Diveheart’s mission is to provide and support educational scuba diving programs that are open to any child, adult or veteran with a disability. The nonprofit discovered that the forgiving, weightless wonder of the underwater world provides the perfect gravity-free environment for those who might otherwise struggle on land. Diveheart works with individuals who have a variety of disabilities, including physical and developmental disabilities, vision and hearing impairments, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and more.
